Daily excursion to the roof of Umbria

The roof of Umbria: a paradise between three regions

Colorful lands, breathtaking blooms: the green heart of Italy will surprise you on a tour that winds through the evocative rainbow lands of the Castelluccio plain, embracing three different regions.

Have you ever cycled in paradise?

Experience the thrill of crossing the Castelluccio plain by bicycle until you reach the border of Marche, Lazio and Abruzzo. Unique views on the plateau at 1450 m high. Let yourself be amazed by the colors and inebriated by the scents while pedaling in a unique spectacle in the world: the flowering of Pian Grande.

We start from the small church of the Madonna della Cona, in the province of Macerata and remaining in the Marche we go down to Pian Perduto, with a breathtaking view in front of us.

You cycle on the plain among the scents and colors of the rainbow, in an enchanted landscape where flowery expanses stretch as far as the eye can see.

We reach the Accumoli marshes, lakes of glacial origin on the border between Marche, Umbria and Abruzzo, where wild animals meet to graze and drink… a unique spectacle!

You return crossing Pian Piccolo and Pian Grande until you reach the roof of Umbria, Castelluccio di Norcia.
